2026 Swim Team Signups Coming Tuesday, April 14th 2026!
Aaron Helander, Head Swim Coach
Aaron Helander has been swimming competitively for over 20 years. He started his career at his local YMCA where he got the nickname “iron lung” for his love of playing underwater. Aaron is a graduate from Oakland University. He is happy to be able to join Heart this year and spend some time with the swimmers!
Heart of the Hills 2026 Summer Swim Team
Heart of the Hills is proud to compete in the NSSL Swim League with their 160+ member-strong team. Fostering a strong community of swimmers from ages 4 to 18, the team is happy to welcome back Aaron Helander as our head coach for the 2026 Season, along with a strong team of returning assistant coaches. Signups for the team will open on April 14th for HHSC members. Limited non-member, practice only memberships will be available April 28th. Not sure if you’re ready to officially compete? HHSC will again encourage swim lesson graduates to continue swimming with the Pre-Team.
2026 Spring Practice Schedule:
12 & Up (6th grade and up): 3pm-4:30pm
9 – 12: 4:30pm-5:30pm
8 & Under: 5:15pm-6:00pm
2026 Summer Practice Schedule (June 11th-July 17th):
13 & Up (6th grade and up): 7:30am-9:00am
11-12: 9:00am-10:00am
9 – 10: 10:00am-11:00am
8 & Under/Pre-Team: 11:00am-11:45am
